Reporting to the CEO and working as a strategic partner within the senior leadership team, you will develop and implement the overall financial and risk strategy for Heritage Co-op. Including :
- Managing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities, and developing risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization’s assets, earning capacity, and overall success.
- Engaging in corporate performance management, strategic planning, and cross-commodity collaboration to ensure overall strategy alignment, planning, and consistency for the organization.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with the senior leadership team to provide guidance and support in sales growth, financial, and operational improvements.
- Provides strategic leadership for the Finance, Risk, and Administrative business units to ensure the departments are operated under legal, safe, and ethical standards.

Who you are :
You are looking for a career in Finance and :
- Have 10+ years of proven expertise in a senior-level finance or accounting role, bringing a deep understanding of financial management.
- A CPA, MBA, or relevant audit-related certifications are considered an asset (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Have a proven track record of driving team success, especially while managing complex, sometimes conflicting objectives.
- Have expertise in accounting software and spreadsheet applications, along with a solid grasp of risk management strategies and concepts.
