Reporting to the Academic Chair, School of Health & Community Services, Fleming College, this faculty position will develop an immersive curriculum for a new Veterinary Technician Diploma with a projected first enrollment in Fall 2025. This subject matter expert will work with our Learning Design and Support team and New Program Development team to create an innovative new program that meets the accreditation requirements for Veterinary Technician programs as prescribed by the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians. The incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of the submission to Credential Validation Services (CVS) for program curriculum approval.

The incumbent will be required to have completed formal education through an accredited Veterinary Technician/Technologist program. Formal education specific to adult education would be considered an asset. In addition to the above educational qualifications, you possess at least five years of current experience as a Veterinary Technician with demonstrated experience in a clinical setting. Candidates must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and maintain a current registration with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT) in good standing.
Ideally, you have five years teaching/training experience applying theories of adult learning at the post-secondary level. Experience developing & delivering curriculum both in person and online in the form of lectures, seminars, labs, field trips, clinical placements, simulations, interprofessional educational experiences, and/or other innovative delivery methods is also required. Experience in an e-learning environment is a definite asset with proficiency in current education teaching technologies (including Learning Management Systems) is preferred.
