Veterinary Receptionist - Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital

Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital is currently welcoming a customer service focused Veterinary Receptionist to join our team.

Schedule : The position we are looking to hire for would be shift work.

Shifts range from start at 6am and latest finishing at 1am.

This full-time opportunity requires a variety of attributes. Your primary responsibility is:

Ensure our clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for and appreciated! Additional responsibilities and qualities required for this role are:

1. Create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents.
2. Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively.
3. Placing outbound calls to follow-up and future appointment bookings.
4. Respond and manage email correspondence with clients and referring veterinarians.
5. Invoicing/billing, obtaining pet owner confirmation and processing payments.
6. Scheduling appointments.
7. Strong organizational skills.
8. General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area and common areas.
9. Willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments.
