Verafin - Cloud Software Developer

As a Software Developer on our Cloud team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenges, with a focus on creating innovative solutions. You will use your curious mind, refined problem-solving ability, and code writing expertise to bring fresh new ideas to life. Your contribution will help Verafin fight crimes such as human trafficking, elder abuse, and drug trafficking and you’ll join a large team who is equally passionate about making a difference. Role Responsibilities

1. Solid understanding of AWS and cloud solutions architecture
2. Keep up to date with new AWS and cloud solutions
3. Build, automate and secure application configuration, auto deployment and provisioning services
4. Design, develop, automate and operationalize software/service updates
5. Develop innovative ways to measure and monitor application and infrastructure health
6. Work with engineering and product management to build and manage features that are highly available, high performance, and secure
7. Automate deployment, customization, upgrades, and monitoring through modern DevOps tools including Terraform and AWS CloudFormation

Essential Skills & Qualifications

1. A university degree or college diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
2. Experience with microservices and data lakes
3. Able to design and build systems using Amazon Web Services
4. Knowledge of distributed systems
5. Experience with Linux systems, virtualization, and network administration
6. Proficiency in Java, Python, Bash, and React
7. Understanding of security principles
8. AWS certifications would be an asset
