Job description

About the Role

As a member of our global Manufacturing Engineering team, you will be supporting production and repair systems within the Technical Support & Education team. In this role, you will provide technical support and training to employees on various processes, ensuring seamless operations and knowledge sharing. Additionally, you will participate in the rollouts of new systems, ensuring a smooth transition and minimizing disruptions. Furthermore, you will collaborate with our manufacturing and repair facilities to validate new processes, ensuring they meet quality and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for regular testing and configuration software release validation.
  2. Support the development and validation of new test equipment.
  3. Regularly maintain all test equipment including product portfolio for the validation.
  4. Communicate technical issues, problems and suggestions for improvements.
  5. Provide second level technical and applications support for the test and configuration equipment and software.
  6. Support the Corporate Manufacturing Engineering team in Continuous Improvement projects in the region.

More about you:

  1. A bachelor's degree in Electronics or a related field, or technical background in the field of software, hardware, electrotechnics, automation or similar.
  2. Possess strong diagnostic skills.
  3. Profound knowledge in the field of software validation.
  4. Familiar with risk analysis and statistical tools.
  5. Demonstrate ability to organize tasks effectively and prioritize them accordingly.
  6. Experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and databases.
  7. Experience with ERP software (SAP), lifecycle management software (Polarion).
  8. Fluent in both written and spoken English.

A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova.
