UX Interaction Designer - Senior/Intermediate

Position Summary

Samsung is making big steps into enterprise mobility with a wide range of device and software solutions. We are now looking for an experienced and talented UX Interaction Designer for our Vancouver lab to design, validate and support the development of our devices and software solutions and release them into the global market.

We are looking for a creative designer with a passion for excellence. You have a knack for transforming business requirements into engaging and meaningful user interfaces. You have a collaborative spirit and enjoy working with UX team members to maintain a seamless and consistent look and feel across a suite of products. And lastly, you have a great sense of humour!

Role and Responsibilities

About the Role

1. Act as a UX subject matter expert, providing design solutions grounded in user research and industry best practices.
2. Lead and deliver end-to-end design projects, transforming complex ideas into user-friendly interfaces.
3. Align design with business objectives, contributing to strategic decisions on design language and product direction.
4. Create user interfaces, wireframes, and interactive prototypes that adhere to Samsung’s global standards.
5. Maintain and leverage design systems, patterns, and guidelines; document UX decisions to support development and stakeholder alignment.
6. Collaborate with a global team of UX designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to deliver cohesive design solutions.
7. Provide and solicit feedback from designers and cross-functional teams to elevate design quality, while taking on mentorship responsibilities.

About You

1. Bachelor’s degree in Interactive Arts, Digital Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
2. 8+ years (Senior)/ 5+ years (Intermediate) experience in user experience, interaction design, or a similar role, with a focus on enterprise software or B2B solutions.
3. Strong portfolio showcasing innovative design work, including UX, visual design, and service design artifacts such as wireframes, journey maps, and personas. A portfolio is required to apply.
4. Proficiency in creating UX documentation and using design systems to ensure consistency across projects.

Desired

1. Master’s degree in Interactive Arts, Digital Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
2. Experience designing for regulated industries, such as enterprise IT, finance, or healthcare.
3. Proven experience working with global, cross-functional teams across time zones.
4. Experience as a feature or product designer, with direct involvement in or development of design systems.
5. Excellent communication skills for presenting and explaining design solutions at various project stages and influencing product design strategy.

Skills and Qualifications

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $85,765 to $127,710 and reflects base salary only. Actual pay will be determined based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, competencies, qualifications, relevant skills and experience.
