We are seeking a skilled and motivated User Support Technician to join our team. As a User Support Technician, you will contribute to the overall success of Coast Hotels by providing technology support services to our ambassadors. This includes first line support duties such as Help Desk functions, desktop installations, network administration including user administration and general network appliance maintenance. This person will also assist in troubleshooting network and connectivity issues.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Builds strong service-based relationships to engage internal customers.
- Ensures related IT training is user friendly and provides learning-centric information.
- Provides responsive service solutions creating value for co-workers/customers.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues to create solution-oriented environment.
- Provides Service Desk technical support to users either via phone or email as required.
- Provides advanced troubleshooting for all types of technical inquiries, service requests, and issues involving computers, network, smartphones/tablets, AV systems, enterprise applications/systems.
- Contributes to team innovation through ideas for process improvement and efficiency.
- Develops, implements, and/or participates in the preparation knowledge base articles and/or documentation for Service Desk use; makes recommendations for improvements.
- Documents all problems and solutions in the Service Desk System.
- Images, deploys and maintains workstations and software.
- Assists with the identification, planning, implementation and management of new equipment and procedures that will improve operations and reduce costs.
- Provides after hours support for our properties.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
Employment Requirements:
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or technology.
- 2 years of experience as a User Support Technician or in a similar role; or a combination of experience and study is an asset.
- Strong computer literacy on Microsoft 365 Products is an asset.
- Strong understanding of hotel systems and processes is an asset.
- Strong understanding of networking is an asset.
