User Support Technician, Techise

Location: 211 Pembina Avenue, Hinton, AB

Salary: $35.40 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week. Full-time. Day, Weekend. Starts as soon as possible.

Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work Setting: Computer hardware or software retailer/wholesaler. Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Relocation costs covered by employer. Willing to relocate.

Responsibilities:

1. Respond to users experiencing difficulties with computers.
2. Consult user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions.
3. Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties.
4. Collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts.
5. Supervise other technical support workers in this group.
6. Provide business systems, network and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties.
7. Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.

1 to 2 people

Credentials:

1. Associate Computing Professional (ACP)
2. Cisco Certified Network Associate
3. Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
4. A+ Certification

Experience and Specialization:

Computer and technology knowledge. Android. Security software. Word processing software. .NET. MS Windows. TCP/IP.
