JOB DESCRIPTION

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Full-Time US Freight Coordinator to be based at our Moncton Terminal. The selected candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a "Can Do" attitude.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday (6:00 AM to 3:00 PM)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with shippers, consignees, and brokers to coordinate the clearance of southbound shipments.
  • Coordinate with Dispatch and Dock teams to set up 2 weekly southbound loads.
  • Assist US Customs and CBSA with any shipments that may require special attention.
  • Verify dangerous goods paperwork to ensure drivers have proper placards and DG paperwork for crossing.
  • Coordinate the storage and clearance of bonded shipments.
  • Perform various other functions such as P&D manifesting, P&D time entry, and terminal administrative reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Years of Experience Required: 2 years of relevant experience is preferred
  • Solid interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision under pressure and time constraints
  • Detail-oriented individual
