GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
The Underwriting Admin Services Support is responsible for the administration and data processing for SGI CANADA Underwriting areas. The work performed focuses on processing and triaging incoming broker transactions. The position is responsible for ensuring accurate data entry and workflow processing while focusing on a variety of administrative responsibilities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Administration of Personal and Commercial Line Broker Submissions
Triages revisions, quotes, new applications, cancellations, and renewal requests to the appropriate underwriting teams.
Administers data entry of quotes/new applications, customer and broker information into GIS creating WIP transactions for the underwriting areas while ensuring all corporate records are attached.
Updates and maintains quote registry used by commercial underwriting teams in multiple jurisdictions.
Administers and issues Commercial lines decline quote requests to the brokers.
Administers incoming and outgoing broker mail – submission requests and correspondence, broker cheques.
Administration of Commercial Auto Driver Program
Acts as the primary contact for brokers who are looking to amend “drivers” on Saskatchewan Commercial Auto policies.
Uses third-party reports (CGI Insurance Information Services) to analyze new driver candidates.
Calculates premium and provides quotes to brokers on new driver requests/amendments.
Amends Commercial Auto policies in GIS as per broker requests.
Issues policy revisions in GIS to be sent to brokers.
Administration of Commercial Portal
Acts as the primary contact for brokers who are submitting Commercial requests for bound quotes, referrals, and payment.
Processes data entry and verification of the Commercial bound quotes submitted through the Commercial Portal into the GIS system formulating the customer cover page policy documents and applicable riders.
Amends Commercial bound quote requests from brokers.
Issues new Commercial documents to be sent to the broker and customer.
Administration of Registered Letters for SGI CANADA Division
Corresponds with underwriters on policy cancellation requests.
Updates GIS policy with Canada Post tracking and registered letter information.
Issues all outgoing customer and lien holder correspondence based on GIS policy information.
Ensures inventory levels for pre-printed secured government and generic registered envelopes are available.
Customer Policy Assembly Function
Assembles customer policy cover pages for all jurisdictions (ON, AB, BC, MB, and SK).
Ensures inventory levels for cover page policy booklets are available for assembly.
Sorts and delivers ‘Special handling’ documents to underwriters.

Knowledge of arithmetic computations.
Skill in using Microsoft Products (e.g. Word, Excel etc).
Knowledge of Underwriting procedures.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
Grade 12 diploma / GED certificate.

EXPERIENCE
