Responsibilities

The Ultrasound Technologist demonstrates competency in performing all ultrasound exams, ensuring proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation. The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for positioning the patient and equipment and producing appropriate recordings. Additionally, the Ultrasound Technician is responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.

Qualifications

1. RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region required within 90 days of hire and must be maintained.
2. Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hire.
3. Previous experience preferred.
4. Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and must be maintained.
5. Proficient computer skills.
