Position Overview:
Askuity is a Toronto-based retail analytics SaaS company operating as an innovative division within The Home Depot. Askuity's mission is to enable suppliers and merchants at The Home Depot to make profitable, data-driven decisions and drive real-time execution.
Reporting to the Director, Product Management, the UI/UX Manager will lead the design team and work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Data Science peers to identify and prioritize new opportunities, define problem spaces, and set roadmaps for the flagship Fusion product. This role will be critical in reshaping the design team to embrace design-led thinking and become strategic partners in the product development process, while establishing a strong design discipline and team within Askuity. This role will be involved in a wide range of activities including coaching and mentoring UI/UX Designers, defining design processes and principles, managing and conducting user research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams within the organization to drive the roadmap for the product. This is a hands-on role with expectation to create designs and run user research activities to support the team as needed.

Minimum Education:
University/College degree in a related area of study, or equivalent experience.
Minimum Years of Work Experience:
5+ years of industry UX design experience including visual and interaction design and in design tools such as Figma.
Minimum Leadership Experience:
2+ years of leadership and people management experience.
Other Requirements/Asset:
Prior experience conducting user research and incorporating learnings into product roadmaps.
Experience using prototyping to quickly share ideas and get buy-in on design decisions.
Knowledge of and experience defining best practices for web and mobile.
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and problem-solving.
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders around the best practices and value of human user-centred design principles.
Experience working in an agile software development environment.
