Open Positions: Math Tutor (Grade 5–6) – Kelowna, BC (V1W 1E7)

Student Needs:

• Grade 5–6 student requiring math support.
• May have mild autism; adaptability and patience are key.

Responsibilities:

• Tutor 3–10 hours weekly in-person at the student’s home.
• Maintain a consistent schedule (evenings/weekends possible).
• Use creative strategies to engage and motivate the student.

Qualifications:

• Fluent English + bachelor’s degree (required).
• Teaching/tutoring experience, preferably with elementary students.
• Experience with neurodiverse learners is a plus.
• Access to a car for reliable travel.

2. Math & Science Tutor (Grade 9–10) – Kelowna, BC (V4T 1W6)

Student Needs:

• Homeschooled Grade 9–10 student with high-functioning ASD.
• Requires structured support for online assignments and quizzes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 6 hours/week of in-person tutoring in math and science.
• Sessions on Mondays/Thursdays (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM) with flexible scheduling:
• Two 2.5–3 hour sessions weeklyORone 5-hour session (with a break).
• Adapt teaching methods to the student’s learning style.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience tutoring high school math/science.
• ASD-specific teaching strategies highly preferred.
• Ability to commute to V4T 1W6 within 30 minutes.
