The Truck Driver will deliver customer orders or pick up merchandise by operating the company vehicles in a safe and expeditious manner. Actively contributes to a positive and productive working environment.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

1. Pre-inspect truck
2. Complete manifest/log book
3. Ensure that the proper documentation is maintained
4. Maintain equipment and report any damages, necessary repairs, or malfunctions
5. Drive transport truck or straight truck in a safe and respectful manner
6. Ensure merchandise loaded in vehicle is stowed in a safe and damage-free manner
7. Unload trailer at stores
8. Ensure case-count delivered corresponds with order, pick up credit, or damaged product
9. Maintain good working relations with customers at all times through cooperative attitude and well-groomed appearance
10. Exercise good driving manners and taking precautionary measures during inclement weather conditions
11. Follow the instructions outlined in the driver SOP and pay attention to detail
12. Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirements
13. Responsible for all other duties assigned by manager

What you have to offer:

1. Accuracy and attention to detail to ensure the case-count delivered corresponds with the order
2. A proven track record of superior customer service skills
3. Two to three years experience driving a tractor-trailer and/or straight truck
4. High School Graduate
5. Class “A” or Class “D” Driver’s License
6. Retail support centre
7. Physical work including frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
8. Occasionally lift over 88 lbs
9. Two person lift required for weights exceeding 50 lbs
10. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
11. Possible exposure to extreme temperatures
12. Alertness to other people and vehicles
13. Various shifts including evenings and weekends
