Experience: 1 month to less than 7 months

Work setting: Willing to relocate. Relocation costs not covered by employer.

Responsibilities

1. Address customers’ complaints or concerns
2. Professionalism in customer service
3. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
4. Load and unload goods
5. Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
6. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
7. Perform brake adjustments
8. Perform emergency roadside repairs
9. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
10. Perform preventive maintenance
11. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
12. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
