Job Description

Profile

American Iron and Metal, (AIM) is a growth-oriented Metal Recycling and processing company located in Saint John, NB. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Full-time Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team.

We are looking for someone who is motivated, tenacious, eager to learn, and ready to take on a challenge.

Responsibilities

• Service modern equipment including material handlers, loaders, bobcats, forklifts, manlifts, shuttle wagon, etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance as per service schedule
• Keep the workplace clean and organized
• Perform any other related duties.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience
• Respect for health safety measures
• Capacity to perform physical work
• Experience working with Heavy Equipment vehicles will be considered an asset
• Experience with Hydraulics is an asset
• Experience in welding is an asset
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals;

Employment Conditions

Schedule: Full time, Monday to Friday, Day Shift

• Possibility of overtime
• Availability for last minute urgent repairs;
