Tourism Nova Scotia is a division of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage. We work with communities and industry to attract visitors to the province and increase tourism revenues through experience and sector development, business coaching, marketing, and visitor servicing.
Tourism Nova Scotia operates five provincial visitor information centres (VICs) in Nova Scotia. The VICs are one of the first points of contact for many visitors to Nova Scotia. Our team members are the front-line ambassadors that welcome visitors and provide travel counselling services.
Are you passionate about promoting Nova Scotia to travellers from all over the world? Our travel counsellors at the Halifax Airport VIC greet, welcome, and provide customized trip planning assistance and customer service to visitors arriving in Nova Scotia. This is often a very busy and fast-paced environment that requires team members to respond quickly and efficiently to the travelling public with inquiries for flight information, car rentals, etc.
This position reports to the Halifax Airport Visitor Information Centre Supervisor.
To be considered for this position you possess Grade 11 plus three years tourism/customer service experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have graduated from a Tourism/Hospitality program and/or have tourism-related experience.
We are seeking an individual that is personable, resourceful, proactive, and enthusiastic about promoting Nova Scotia.

Pay Grade: CL 13
Salary Range: $1,501.11- $1,633.95 Bi-Weekly

The full-time position requires an individual who can work scheduled shifts over a seven-day period including weekends and holidays. The expected start date is February 3, 2025. Occasional travel may be required for work and training purposes.
