About Our Opportunity
As a Training Consultant, you will create training curriculum and deliver trainings through various methods, directly impacting the ongoing learning needs of our employees.
Primary Accountabilities
As the Consultant, you will leverage your expertise in learning and development to:
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify knowledge gaps and create curriculum.
- Facilitate and deliver training through in-person and online channels.
- Administer feedback for all trainings to ensure efficient delivery.
- Manage several complex training projects under tight timelines.
- Collaborate with other departments and community partners to identify learning needs.
- Provide logistical oversight for training events.
- Utilize technology to support training delivery.
- Uphold DCS values by integrating a social lens to training programs.
Qualifications and Experience
You have completed a related bachelor’s degree and have at least five (5) years of related experience. An education degree or Adult Education Certificate is highly desirable.
You are client-focused and result-oriented and must demonstrate:
- Experience in training needs assessment and curriculum development.
- Understanding of learning and development principles.
- Ability to take initiative and conduct client consultations.
- Experience overseeing logistics and coordination of training plans.
- Knowledge of technology to support training development.
- Experience with group facilitation in a collaborative environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online platforms.
- Commitment to understanding cultural differences.

- Experience with Learning management systems and design software.
- Experience in developing employee communications.
- Experience in innovative solutions in training and development.
- Experience with a social lens in training curriculum development.

Equivalency
We recognize equivalent combinations of training, education, and experience. Equivalencies include:
- A related master’s degree and three (3) years related experience.
- A related 2-year diploma and seven (7) years related experience.
Working Conditions
You will mostly work in an office setting, with periodic travel required. You should have a valid Driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Pay Grade: PR 13
Salary Range: $2,556.10 - $3,107.16 Bi-Weekly
