Time Critical Logistics Coordinator

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring operational process adherence and providing support to staff in all logistics-related matters. This position requires strong decision-making skills, the ability to motivate a team, and excellent communication abilities.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to operational processes and standards.
• Provide assistance to staff regarding logistics and transportation issues.
• Select and book the most effective transport modes (air and ground) to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Review, prepare, and submit import/export documentation.
• Arrange transport and airline bookings for time/temperature-sensitive or oversized shipments, including on-board couriers for urgent packages (aircraft parts and pharmaceuticals).
• Offer real-time updates on driver status for pickups and deliveries through email and telephone communication.
• Deliver integrated logistics services, including export packing, customs clearance, warehousing, and local transport to final destinations.
• Provide quotations for clients looking to import/export materials into Canada.
• Participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation for time-critical operations (one week per month, including weekends) with the opportunity for additional pay bonuses.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in freight forwarding logistics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong decision-making and leadership skills.
• Ability to motivate personnel and work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and administrative skills.
• Strong command of the English language, both spoken and written.
• Flexibility to participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation (one week per month, including weekends) with opportunities for additional pay.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22-$26 based on experience
