The Big Playhouse is seeking F/T Early Childhood Educators.

Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

Wage: $20.00~$23.00/hour (depending on experience)

Number of Positions: 3

Job Duties:

1. Develop and implement child-care programs that foster the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
2. Plan and conduct activities by reading stories and teaching songs.
3. Set up rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and prepare snacks.
4. Prepare reports for parents and supervisors regarding children’s behavioural issues and potential learning.
5. Guide and assist children in eating, dressing and toilet habits.
6. Maintain daycare environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.
7. Help children to express their creativity and find interests through art, music, play and physical activities.

Job Requirements:

1. Experience: Experience is an asset.
2. Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required.
