What will you do?

  • The Manufacturing Engineering Team is looking for a motivated individual to ensure the digitalization and automation of industrial processes in an electronics manufacturing environment. You will support existing solutions while deploying, developing, and documenting new solutions in line with Schneider’s objectives and targets. As part of the manufacturing engineering team, you will be involved in projects related to improving manufacturing quality and efficiency through programming automation and incorporation of IIoT with our manufacturing execution system.

What's in it for you?

  • You will be responsible for the automation and connectivity (Edge control, MES, Analytics) of manufacturing test equipment.
  • Execute engineering and manufacturing changes as they apply to test and automation.
  • Identify, plan, document, and execute improvements to manufacturing test and automation.
  • Integrate IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) tools and Edge Control tools.
  • Identify and implement new solutions for the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Drive continuous improvement across multiple disciplines.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • You have a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • You have an understanding of programming languages (LabView/SQL/Node-RED/XML/CSS/HTML).
  • You understand and can complete Test Specification and Test Equipment Qualification plans.
  • You have basic knowledge of cloud computing technologies and possibilities.
  • You are a Windows power user and knowledgeable in cybersecurity principles and practice.

The compensation range for this full-time position, which includes base pay and short-term incentive, is CAD $85,000-$100,000 for candidates who are B.C. residents. Our salary ranges are determined by including roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
