Job Description:

NVIT anticipates the need for Term Instructors to teach within the Office Administration Certificate Program. This program delivery is in conjunction with the Gitksan Wet’suwet’en Education Society in Hazelton BC. This program will be delivered face-to-face starting October 21st, 2024, and ending March 31st, 2025. Please indicate which courses you are interested to teach.

  • APBT-149 - Office Administration Assistant Practicum

  • COMP-101 - Computer Essentials and the Internet
  • COMP-102 - Word Processing I
  • COMP-103 - Keyboarding I
  • COMP-104 - Spreadsheets
  • COMP-112 - Word Processing II

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or have equivalent training and experience;
  • Post-secondary teaching experience preferably with Indigenous adult learners;
  • Extensive computer systems experience with a high level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to work and problem-solve independently;
  • A knowledge of Indigenous cultures.
