Job Description:

NVIT anticipates a requirement for Term Instructors to teach the following courses in conjunction with Lax Kw'alaams First Nations delivered in-person . NVIT invites applications from qualified individuals.

February – November 2025

  • STSC 101 – Strategies for Success
  • ENGL 101 – Foundations for Academic Writing
  • ENGL 110 – English Composition
    PSYC 111 – Introduction to Psychology I
  • PSYC 121 – Introduction to Psychology II
  • SOCI 111 – Introduction to Sociology I
  • FNST 100 – Introduction to First Nations Studies I
  • FNST 101 – Introduction to First Nations Studies II
  • CMSC 109 – Computer Applications
  • FNWS 100 – Introduction to First Nations Women Studies I

  • Master’s Degree in a related field or have equivalent training and experience;
  • Post-secondary teaching experience with Aboriginal adult learners is preferred;
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to work and problem-solve independently;
  • Knowledge of Indigenous history and cultures.
