Are you an Occupational Health Nurse looking for a new opportunity? Do you have a passion for fostering quality care for employees in the workplace? We are recruiting a Temporary Occupational Health Nurse in Fort McMurray.

In this position, the Occupational Health Nurse assures the quality, integrity, and value of health services while collaborating within an interdisciplinary team of Occupational Health & Safety professionals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Two or more years of experience in a similar role
  • A post-secondary education in nursing and hold a current registration with College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Advanced First Aid Course (ITLS, CPR level C)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Experience in health surveillance testing and programs, as well as conducting new hire medicals

Responsibilities:

  • Execute wellness strategies and initiatives while ensuring a high standard of quality, integrity and value of our health services
  • Perform health surveillance programs including health evaluations
  • Attend to medical emergency related incidents as requested by the on-duty Emergency Coordinator, in accordance with medical procedures/protocols approved by Suncor’s medical director
  • Support and lead the execution of wellness and education/training strategies
  • Collect and analyze comprehensive medical information and confidential medical records
  • Support disability case management and facilitate return to work programs as well as liaising and collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders

Location & Other Key Details:

  • You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta
  • The shift schedule is 3 days 3 nights and 6 off – 12 hour shifts
  • This is a temporary position for a period of 12 – 18 months
  • Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based on years of experience and scope of work
