The City of Kitchener is seeking temporary labourers to work as part of the Traffic team in the Operations-Roads and Traffic Division.

Responsibilities:

1. Installing, repairing, and maintaining existing and new traffic, parking, regulatory, and special signs within Kitchener.
2. Painting all lines and pavement markings on City streets, as well as parking lot markings.
3. Setting up construction, detour, information and related signage for road repair work and reconstruction projects.
4. Maintaining all related equipment and materials.
5. Performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid MTO “G” class driver’s license in good standing and ability to provide Drivers Abstract at your own expense as a condition of employment.
3. Ability to perform manual labour.
4. Must be flexible to work varying shifts, rotational duties, weekends and overtime as required.
5. Good communication skills with an ability to keep accurate written records.
6. Ability to participate as an effective team member.
7. Reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
