What are we looking for?

The Technician position is responsible for performing standard testing and evaluation on a variety of electrical products and for preparing technical reports. This position works under general supervision.

What you'll do:

1. Set up test apparatus to test customer supplied devices
2. Operate a varied amount of equipment
3. Obtain and record test data in accordance with the product standards
4. Analyze test data and perform routine calculations
5. May prepare technical reports
6. May extract and compile engineering data
7. May prepare project files for compliance with operating procedures
8. Work with team members to make recommendations regarding technical decisions relating to the interpretation and applicability of test standards
9. Communicate with clients and management regarding project results
10. May provide training and work instructions to entry level technicians
11. May oversee the work of entry level technicians
12. Provide support to sales or other departments as required
13. Perform other work as required

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

1. College diploma - Electrical
2. 2+ years related work experience
3. Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft suite
4. Familiarity with product certification standards including UL, CSA, NSF
5. Ability to travel up to 15%
6. A valid driver's license and reliable driving record

6. Strong interpersonal skills
7. Strong communication skills, in both verbal and written formats
