Job description
Location: 80% Remote - Candidate must live within 2 hours of a government facility.

Overview: Wisemen Multimedia Corporation, LLC (WMC) is looking for a highly organized, professional, and detail-oriented Technical Writer (Journeyman) to join our high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced, enterprise environment. Job Description: The candidate will support technical writing to prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documentation that incorporates information and data from the Program Office, customer, end user, and project leads.

Responsibilities:
  • Convert complex documentation to easy-to-understand language for multiple audiences.
  • Use strong writing and technical communication skills to create product information deliverables that support the installation and use of Unisys products and solutions.
  • Apply engineering and technical communication methods and technologies to design, develop, evaluate, test, and support information about technology products and solutions.
  • Ensure technical accuracy in writing user documentation.
  • Create software documentation after thorough collaboration with subject matter experts and technical staff.
  • Assist other writers in creating documentation.
  • Improve existing and potential content.
  • Write documentation for internal teams such as developers and programmers.
  • Communicate complex ideas in a concise manner.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical communication or equivalent discipline (BE/MCA/B Tech/B.Sc./B.A./M.Sc./M.A).
  • 4-6 years experience in Technical writing.
  • Knowledge of advanced technical writing concepts.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance before starting employment.
  • Proficient in desktop publishing with abilities to create and update tables, manipulate graphics and drawings, and format/layout text.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effectively collaborate with a variety of teams and interested parties.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and organization.
  • Ability to multitask and work with strict deadlines/timeframes.
  • Capable of managing several different tasks from various requestors.
  • Possess attention to detail and the ability to edit documents for technical accuracy.
Desired Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship.
  • Exceptional Writing Skills.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Certification in technical documentation is preferred.
  • Fluency in technical and common office software.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and build on current skills.
Workday:
  • Full-time, Monday through Friday. 80% Remote.
