As a key member of the Quality Control team, Airworthiness Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that company aircraft remains in compliance with all Regulatory Requirements, Airworthiness Limitations, Maintenance requirements, and that maintenance performed is in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures:

Your responsibilities:

  • Monitor new/revised Airworthiness Directives (AD) (Canadian, Foreign)
  • Monitor changes to the applicable Aviation Regulations: Transport Canada, Department of Defence / Canadian Airforce (DND/CAF) and Foreign.
  • Create and maintain the aircraft regulatory compliance templates in the CMP
  • Monitor Manufacturers' maintenance requirements: Maintenance Manuals, Maintenance Requirements Manuals, Task Card Manuals, Service Bulletins, Service Letters, etc.
  • Notify the respective stakeholders of any changes, describe the changes and detail how the changes affect the fleet.
  • Facilitate TCCA issued Flight Permits for company and customer aircraft.
  • Issue Flight Permits within the scope of company and personal delegated authority.
  • Ensure weight & balance amendments and Equipment List are created/amended for Airways and Customer aircraft as required.
  • Assist Technical Records with questions related to the tracking of Maintenance, Mod status of aircraft, incorrect tracking after major checks, clarify notes in the tracking system, tracking of major components, etc.
  • Apply and start the tracking of all newly added items for each aircraft.
  • Load aircraft and major components to assure they are in compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor changes in engine trends for the fleet. Diagnose all changes, implement corrective actions, and notify the DOM of any issues with the engines.
  • Complete Reliability reports for the DHC-8 and submit them to DeHavilland.
  • Complete Utilization reports for the DHC-8 and CRJ aircraft and submit them to the Manufacturers.
  • Assist the Planning departments (Airways and Aerotech) with questions related to the tracking of maintenance, and the instruction within WinAir.
  • Assist the DOM with questions related to the tracking of maintenance, WinAir and any other questions.
  • Produce reports related to aircraft undergoing maintenance.
  • Create and submit Service Difficulty Reports (SDR) to Transport Canada for Airways and customer aircraft undergoing maintenance.
  • Create Annual Airworthiness Information Report (AAIR) for the fleet and submit it to Transport Canada.

Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:

  • Completion of Accredited 2-year Aircraft Maintenance college course is required.
  • Must hold an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License.
  • TCCA Flight Permit Authority Delegation is a must.
  • ACA privilege is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to identify solutions.
  • Capable of working under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Eligibility:

You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a clear Criminal Background Check.
