- Targeted Salary Range: $97,997.00-$116,371.94
- Work Mode: Hybrid (2 Days Per Week)

Responsibilities
The Technical Services Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is responsible for reviewing all incoming technical information for fleet applicability and the implementation/compliance of all requirements in accordance with the regulations and Ornge business model. Reporting to the Manager – Technical Services, they will revise the computerized maintenance program and company systems to ensure safe, cost-effective and on-time compliance of maintenance activity. The position provides guidance and oversight to the Maintenance Program Analyst. Assumes the day-to-day responsibilities of the manager in their absence.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for the development, review, and update of the Maintenance Schedule Approvals (MSA) task listing with the Quality Assurance Manager and builds and maintains the electronic aircraft and component inspection programs.
- Reviews and researches all original aircraft, component, and engine original equipment manufacturer (OEM) maintenance documentation: Chapter 4 (airworthiness) and Chapter 5 (overhaul and inspection).
- Builds and maintains all fleet inspection programs.
- Develops continuous maintenance improvement initiatives.
- Authors task cards for compliance.
- Maintains and reviews the master parts listings for all new and existing parts.
- Acts in accordance with Chapter 4 (airworthiness) and Chapter 5 (overhaul and inspection), and Ornge business requirements in the computerized maintenance program.
- Schedules activities and develops processes for airworthiness requirements and maintenance requirements taking into consideration regulatory requirements, Ornge business requirements, and operation requirements.
- Reviews and researches all incoming Airworthiness Directives, Alert Service Bulletins, Service Bulletins, Service Information Letters, Product Engineering Support Letters (PSE), and other Aircraft and Engine Manufacturer documentation.
- Ensures that each document is evaluated, and an appropriate course of action is recorded and implemented as required for each document using the maintenance software and other tools.
- Records and signs-off with the appropriate signing authority for airworthiness items recorded as not applicable and/or previously complied for all fleets and components.
- Reviews and researches Modification Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness (ICA), service bulletins, service letters, vendor notices, supplement type certificates (STC), limited supplemental type certificates (LSTC), Serialized Supplemental Type Certificate (SSTC), and major modifications.
- Provides technical support and guidance.
- Provides guidance and oversight to the Maintenance Program Analyst.
- Provides guidance and technical support for engineering and computerized maintenance program to the front-line mechanics, MOC Duty Managers, Technical Records, Aviation Stores, and management.
- Provides Maintenance Program Software Support.
- Conducts software system troubleshooting, reporting, and testing.
- Works with the engineering team and management to review system upgrades and patches.
- Works with management to develop workflows and implement process changes.
- Assumes the day-to-day responsibilities of the manager in their absence.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must hold a current and valid Transport Canada AME (M1/M2 or E Category) License;
- A valid Canadian Passport or ability to work in Canada and ability to travel to the USA;
- Must have a valid Canadian G Level Driver’s License;
- A Post Secondary Education in Aviation Maintenance Technology is preferred;
- PC12 and/or AW139 type certification is preferred;
- Minimum five (5) years line maintenance experience on rotor and fixed wing aircraft.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience with technical records and maintenance planning.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience with aviation maintenance software.
- Experience with technical research and information resource management.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high demand environment and make decisions under tight time constraints;
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures;
- Possess strong leadership qualities, capable of providing instructions and delegating work;
- Demonstrates excellence in written and verbal communication skills;
- Sound organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task and effectively resolve conflicting deadlines;
- Excellent computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office suite;
- Highly organized, able to work independently and detail-focused and works well in a deadline-driven environment;
- Proven ability to identify and implement improvements to processes and increase efficiency.
