Technical Sales Representative Abitibi Region

Position: Sales Representative – Mining Sector
Location: Rouyn-Noranda
Salary: $60K base salary per year plus uncapped commission ($100K++ package)
Perks: Medical and dental benefits; RRSP pension plan
Job Type: Permanent

An international leading distributor is seeking an experienced Sales Representative. This is a great opportunity with unlimited earning potential based on sales efforts. In this role, you will be covering the Abitibi, Quebec region and surroundings in a B2B role targeting the mining, forestry, and manufacturing sectors to develop business for sales of mechanical and industrial parts. The role is working on the road locally within the region.

This role involves working with various leads provided to identify business prospects and develop business. It includes engaging with business prospects, which consist of brand new clients, bringing back former clients, and increasing product offerings with existing clients. The approach is consultative, providing real solutions to everyday equipment problems that enable manufacturing companies and operations facilities to maintain and increase day-to-day productivity.

Responsibilities:

- Selling industrial and mechanical parts within the Greater Abitibi region and surrounding area
- Building a marketing and business strategy for product at the point of sale with a focus on new business development in the assigned area
- Supporting all product selling activity in the assigned area, including calling on existing and new accounts
- Penetrating new accounts based on programs and leads to increase market share
- Participating in trade shows
- Keeping sales calendar up to date to show quoting and selling activities
- Employing CRM data to manage territory business strategies, including but not limited to pipeline management for accurate forecasting
- Participating consistently and effectively in sales initiatives and programs

Requirements:

- At least two years of experience in outside sales within the mining sector
- Strong communication skills
- Good computer skills working with a CRM or similar database system
- Resourceful, entrepreneurial, with autonomy and the ability to generate leads and manage sales to meet and exceed targets
