Technical Designer and Tech Pack Coordinator

Our client, a childrenswear manufacturer, is seeking a Technical Designer / Tech Pack Coordinator to join their team and play a key role in bringing their designs to life. In this position, you will collaborate closely with designers, manufacturers, and production teams to ensure that every product meets the high standards of quality, fit, and functionality. Your expertise in creating and managing tech packs will be essential in streamlining the development process.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed tech packs with accurate specifications, construction details, and measurements.
• Work closely with the design team to translate creative concepts into production-ready technical designs.
• Collaborate with manufacturers to ensure samples and production align with design intent and quality standards.
• Conduct fit sessions and provide technical adjustments to improve garment construction and fit.
• Manage and track sample approvals, fabric selections, and trims.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and production teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure timelines are met.
• Maintain organized documentation for all product development stages.

• 3+ years of experience in technical design, garment development, or product coordination.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel for creating and updating tech packs.
• Solid understanding of garment construction, fabrications, and production processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills to work with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Experience in children’s apparel is a plus but not required.
