The location in Skookumchuck, British Columbia, Canada, is seeking talent to fill the position of Technical Coordinator, Procurement. This job is full-time permanent.

The Buyer will source, procure and manage inventory of designated commodities. Lead strategic negotiations and secure services as required to support Company operations and projects, and accountable for/support general purchasing as assigned while assuring all activities are performed in an ethical, economical and quality manner. Cost control measures, detailed inventory analysis, project progress monitoring and scope management will be a primary focus.

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a personal and corporate commitment to Safety.
• Negotiate/secure services through sourcing and negotiations.
• Manage and negotiate various contracts and contractor rates for site services.
• Procurement/management of inventory.
• Prioritize and multitask duties to support immediate rush requirements.
• May require flexibility in work shifts, overtime, and weekends as required to support operations when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Post Secondary degree/diploma in business.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in Procurement, Materials Management, Project Management an asset.
• Experience with the Pulp and Paper industry an asset.
• SAP experience, MRP analysis, process and experience with Microsoft programs an asset.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills in both dynamic team environments and with vendors.
• $60,000 - $65,000 CAD per annum (Actual salary offer will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
