Technical Analyst - Health and Dental

Job Description

Business Unit: Group Insurance, Administration/ Temporary (12 months)/ Full time/ Hybrid/ Quebec/ Montreal/ Toronto/ Start date: as soon as possible

We are looking for a technical analyst in health and dental claims to provide support and assistance with complex cases and special requests, to make adjustments to claims already processed and to handle customer complaints quickly when necessary.

Your main responsibilities will be:

1. Make adjustments to claims already processed;
2. Deal promptly with customer complaints;
3. Perform research and validation as required.
4. Respond to emails and calls from business partners (Canassistance), providing accurate and concise responses according to established procedures;
5. Support and assist mentors and senior Call Center agents on a daily basis, answering questions and assisting with complex cases;
6. Handle health and dental claims, adjustments, stop payments, cheque reissuance, etc.;
7. Support and assist third-party administrators and contract administrators with questions related to health and dental claims;
8. Make calls and manage first-level complaints;
9. Process rejection and follow-up reports;
10. Perform any other tasks deemed necessary to help the team meet its objectives;
11. Propose ideas for continuous improvement and participate in problem solving;
12. Demonstrate a desire to learn and potentially obtain additional responsibilities and progress to higher levels;
13. Be responsible for developing and maintaining knowledge of work procedures and instructions;
14. Ensure that reference tools are up to date, and report any irregularities observed to ensure prompt resolution of cases.

Profile required:

1. College diploma and 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
2. Analytical mind and ability to prioritize tasks
3. Excellent oral communication skills and ability to write accurate and concise responses
4. High degree of autonomy and flexibility; Excellent problem-solving skills
5. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a high-performance environment
6. Good oral and written French and English language skills due to frequent interaction with English and French-speaking colleagues and customers across Canada
7. Knowledge of group insurance systems (an asset)
