Job Title: Technical Analyst
Department: Information Technology Services
Location: Vancouver, BC, Toronto, ON
Work Arrangement: This role is primarily based in the office environment with occasional work-from-home flexibility
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Manager, Service Desk, the Technical Analyst (Tier 2) provides internal support services to all employees. The role requires a strong understanding of client service, a commitment to delivering quality support, and the ability to diagnose technical issues and recommend solutions independently. The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, along with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to resolve problems effectively.
Primary Job Functions:
The duties of the Technical Analyst include:
- Building, designing, examining, and implementing well-organized and structured IT systems
- Gathering feedback or responses from Flair team members to support continuous improvement of system functionality
- Meeting and communicating with stakeholders to understand and meet their requirements
- Actively contributing to the Digital/IT team to build and implement technology solutions
- Supplying advice and technical training to new employees on all IT procedures and processes
- Providing expert knowledge to resolve IT issues
- Running tests or investigations on all application issues and recommending and providing resolutions
- Applying a range of technical expertise to examine and diagnose hardware and software problems
- Providing hardware and software support including user training; installation, testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting for computer equipment
- Contributing to the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date filing systems
- Providing enhancements to all applications, and providing support to all third-party
- Alerting management when necessary for high visibility and critical issues
- Other duties as assigned from time to time
Qualifications & Requirements:
The preferred candidate should exemplify Flair's core values of Respect, Integrity, Reliability, and Resilience while demonstrating success in previous roles. Additionally, we are seeking individuals who possess:
- Education:
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
- Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) to six (6) years of experience as a System Administrator or in tier 2 support roles
- ITIL foundation v4 certification or relevant Microsoft Certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), or Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT)) are considered assets
- Experience in Airport IT applications and/or technology is an asset
- Demonstrated experience with advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex issues
- Skills & Abilities:
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in core technologies including:
- Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook)
- Cloud technologies (e.g., Intune, Azure management) and Microsoft Active Directory
- Familiarity with relevant platforms, hardware interfaces, smartphones, and applications
- Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Ability to efficiently troubleshoot complex technical issues related to computer hardware, peripheral equipment, operating systems, and software
- Configuration & Support: Skill in configuring computers and peripherals, supporting operating systems, installing drivers, and ensuring functionality.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, with an emphasis on customer service and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

- Requirements:
- Clear criminal record check and satisfactory employment references
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction
