Job summary

As a Team Member in Packaging, you will play a crucial role in the production and packaging process within the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate packaging of products, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing process.

As a Team Member, Packaging, you will be responsible for….

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Packaging of cannabis products
  2. Labeling of cannabis products
  3. Conducting equipment cleaning within the packaging area
  4. Line set-up/line clearance of daily packaging lines
  5. Adhering to Aurora's SOPs and complying with Health Canada’s Cannabis Act
  6. Promoting and maintaining GMP requirements
  7. Recognizing unsafe conditions and practices, and making corrections to prevent injuries and product loss
  8. Other duties as required

Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accurate and precise packaging.
  2. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
  3. Communication Skills: Basic communication skills to collaborate with team members and report any issues.
  4. Manual Dexterity: Good manual dexterity and coordination for handling packaging materials and products.
  5. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks in a dynamic work environment.

Education & Experience:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Previous experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment is a plus but not mandatory.
  3. Familiarity with basic safety protocols and guidelines.
  4. Ability to lift and move packages of various weights.
  5. Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory.
  6. Training in machinery operation and safety procedures will be provided.

You would be the best fit for this role if you are…

  1. Comfortable working with cannabis
  2. Physical effort is required, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 30 lbs
  3. Ability to work weekends, holidays and after hours as required
  4. Repetitive use of hands, wrists and forearms
  5. Comfortable working with step ladders
  6. Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while working in a controlled environment.

This role is in one of Aurora’s Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified plants and works directly with products. Towards the end of the recruitment process, we require that you undergo a medical screening exam with our third-party vendor.
