Although some flexibility may be required based on business needs, the schedule for this position is primarily, Monday and Friday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 12:30 pm – 9:00 pm.

Position Summary
The Team Lead II, Distribution/CAN partners with the Manager I, Distribution and assists in the coordination of shipping and receiving activities, maintaining quality control measures, monitoring productivity/service goals, and promoting a safe/lean culture.

Position Responsibilities

1. In conjunction with supervisor, oversee floor operations to include directing labour, the ability to flex labour based on business need, and the ability to maintain consistent workflow in all areas to meet customer service levels.
2. Ability to create fact-based metrics and the ability to analyze data to enhance operational efficiency.
3. Offer guidance and training when necessary to ensure lean practices as well as the safety and security of all associates.
4. Identify and develop opportunities for cross-training, back-up positions and individual training requirements to optimize performance capabilities of all shift associates.
5. Create and maintain a safety-conscious workforce by championing 6S, enforcing all safety policies and housekeeping practices, conducting safety meetings, and thorough accident/incident investigations.
6. Building maintenance, including opening and closing of building daily and review of warehouse/building materials.

Knowledge and Experience

1. Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Outlook.
2. Intermediate experience with Radio Frequency Scanners, WMS and SAP preferred.
3. Superior time and priority management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills including listening, coaching, diplomacy, and conflict resolution.
5. Excellent communication skills, and English fluency, both verbal and written.
6. Schedule flexibility required for multi-shift operation.
7. 2+ years of operations distribution/warehouse experience required.
8. 1-2 years leadership experience in a distribution/warehouse setting preferred.

Education and Certification

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Operations).
3. Machine Operator License (Walkie, Reach, Picker, Forklift, Fall Arrest).
