YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition, you will be part of the Talent Acquisition Department and will lead the strategic direction and operational management of the Recruitment team for the Nunavut and Québec Operations during a period of significant growth. The Talent Acquisition Superintendent will focus on delivering results by leading initiatives and activities to ensure the recruitment strategy is on target and meeting operational expectations for short-term & long-term workforce needs.

  • Overseeing and providing strategic and visionary direction for recruitment activities in Nunavut and Québec.
  • Providing a results-driven approach to ensure that operations and major projects are appropriately staffed in alignment with workforce plans.
  • Supervising a team of professionals that are responsible for a high volume of recruitment for Hourly, Salaried and Internship/Student roles.
  • Leading, inspiring, coaching and mentoring recruitment professionals by providing support and development opportunities to guide them in becoming strategic and trusted recruiting partners to the clients they support.
  • Creating strong partnerships with key upper management stakeholders and Human Resources Leaders in Nunavut and Québec.
  • Developing and regularly reporting on recruitment activities and progress for key stakeholders through a data-driven approach.
  • Collaborating closely with Talent Acquisition Leads from other Regions to align best practices and maintain recruitment standards across Canada.
  • Fostering a data-driven culture by ensuring data accuracy and leveraging insights to inform strategic decision making and deliver value to operations.
  • Supporting the organization in a rapidly changing business environment.
  • Other tasks as required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in Recruitment and/or Human Resources and in a management capacity.
  • Availability to travel a minimum of 25% of your time to Québec and/or Nunavut offices and mining sites.
  • Experience in managing a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists through an in-house recruitment function.
  • Experience in leading recruitment functions in a multi-site or multi-region and high-volume capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of the mining industry.
  • Proficiency in the use of the English and French language as you will be working in collaboration with Canadian Agnico Eagle groups where French or English is the primary language.

Your Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, based in Abitibi-Témiscamingue or Mirabel, with extensive flexibility to travel regularly to all sites in Nunavut and Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
