Voyago, Transdev Ontario is currently recruiting for a Talent Acquisition Specialist for the extended Durham and GTA Regions, in Ontario.
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role in the recruitment and selection of employees and compliance with the Company's policies and current legislation across all divisions. You would work collaboratively with the business to define recruitment needs and job requirements; manage the job posting process then proactively source, assess and identify qualified candidates through the Applicant Tracking System.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced recruiter, a proactive hiring manager, and an ambitious individual who is developing their career in Talent Acquisition.
Note this is not a remote position and the successful candidate will be required to work onsite in the Ajax office location with the flexibility to move between 3 office locations as needed to cover a specific portfolio. (Ajax, Etobicoke, York)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Operations Managers to receive, clarify and post for all open recruitment requests.
- Interview candidates, maintain candidate databases and follow-up in a timely manner.
- Monitor and apply recruitment best practices while providing analytical, well documented reports for use by all teams.
- Contribute to the new hire experience by staying connected to them throughout their onboarding experience and beyond.
- Gather and audit all required documentation during the hiring and onboarding process.
- Work collaboratively with the Operations Team, Training department and other team members during the recruitment & onboarding process.
- Explore different approaches for advertising job opportunities, then develop and oversee an innovative marketing strategy to implement them for your assigned divisions.
- Build community connections and partnerships.
- Be proactive to identify occasions when additional administrative tasks are required to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
- Attend job fairs, hiring events and other special events or in person meetings as required.
- Prepare and present weekly or monthly updates on the status of recruitment requests and pipelines as required.
Requirements:Your Profile:- You have post-secondary education in Human Resources or equivalent work experience.
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- You possess a goal-oriented attitude.
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- You have the ability to handle multiple assignments at the same time.
- You are able to work independently with minimal direction and collaborate with a team.
- You possess exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- You bring your familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Your ADP software experience would be an asset.
- You have very strong Microsoft Office Experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- You have experience with full-cycle recruitment (posting, screening, interviewing, job offer, onboarding).
- You have the ability to source candidates via multiple channels (grassroot recruitment, social media, etc).
- You are creative in your approach to promoting job opportunities.
- You are able to travel as required throughout the Durham, GTA and Central Ontario regions.
- You have sound knowledge of the extended Durham and GTA regions.
- You have a clean drivers abstract and possess a minimum full G drivers licence.
- You possess a clear criminal record search.
- You have the ability to build community connections in the region.
- Your past experience with mass hiring in a short time frame would be a valuable asset.
- You are available to work on-site in the Ajax location and travel to York or Etobicoke locations as this is not a remote position.
