Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Location: Cambridge, ON | On-site

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 per year

The Position

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will coordinate and drive recruitment-related activities for all North American facilities. With a focus on recruitment-related activities, the incumbent will work with all personnel to deliver the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.

What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Establishing recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives and meeting with managers to discuss needs.
  2. Building North American applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information and opportunities.
  3. Completing recruitment reports and metrics as required on a regular basis.
  4. Developing job postings from existing job descriptions.
  5. Hosting and/or attending job and career fairs to meet potential candidates.
  6. Developing relationships with post-secondary institutions for recruitment purposes.
  7. Working with departmental hiring budgets to develop annual recruitment strategy.
  8. Developing candidate screening tools such as interview questionnaires and subject matter tests where relevant.
  9. Training individual managers on recruitment and interview techniques.
  10. Driving recruitment activity, including job postings, screening and sorting new applications, reference checking, drafting employment agreements, and coordinating interviews and assessments.
  11. Contributing to the development of policies and best practices for HR programs and services, conducting research, gathering information and expertise from relevant sources, and providing comprehensive reports and recommendations.
  12. Contributing to and executing HR strategies and initiatives as they relate to organizational strategic priorities.
  13. Providing support for projects and initiatives as directed by HR Manager.
  14. Completing other duties and projects as assigned.
  15. Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and/or travel as required in varying timelines.

What We’re Looking For

  1. Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma in Human Resources, or Business Administration.
  2. 3+ years' experience recruiting for Engineering, Trades, or related technical fields.
  3. Experience working within a manufacturing setting considered an asset.
  4. Strong organizational skills.
  5. Ability to establish priorities and work without supervision.
  6. Experience with an ATS system is preferred.
  7. Advanced computer skills in Excel.
  8. Team player and able to coordinate activities with other departments.
  9. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
