Your Role
Reporting to the People and Business Leader, the Talent Acquisition Leader will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to attract, identify, and hire top talent. Working in collaboration with hiring managers, internal stakeholders, and external partners, the Talent Acquisition Leader will develop strong talent pipelines to meet current and future workforce needs. The Talent Acquisition Leader will provide client-focused, specialized solutions to align with the Firm’s People Strategy.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring for all business professionals and legal professionals for the Ontario Region.
- Manage compensation negotiations while engaging with the People and Total Rewards teams.
- Develop workforce plans to align with the Firm’s People Strategy.
- Establish and meet recruitment service level agreements.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to create, review, and update comprehensive job descriptions that accurately reflect role responsibilities, qualifications, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Leverage Recruiting Gateway within UKG to track key performance metrics, conduct reporting and optimize recruitment workflows.
- Identify and apply creative sourcing strategies to attract top talent at all levels across business professional and legal professional teams, with a focus on specialized solutions that are cost effective, efficient, proactive and innovative.
- Partner with internal team members and external stakeholders and maintain influential relationships.
- Provide data-driven insights to promote proactive approaches to understanding current and future recruitment needs.
- Manage initiatives, such as the Summer Administrative Student Program within the Firm to build on early career talent.
- Create partnerships with universities and colleges to create talent pipeline opportunities through co-ops and work terms.
- Promote Firm brand awareness and culture to foster strong candidate relationships during the selection process.
- Champion a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging, highlighting equity and diversity in the delivery of recruitment initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and the Firm’s policies while aligning with current recruitment best practices, trends, tools, and technologies.

Required Knowledge and Experience:
- University degree in a related field such as Human Resources, Business Administration with a minimum of 6-8 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition and workforce planning.
- Experience in full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing and candidate assessment, while maintaining equity, diversity, and inclusion best practices.
- Knowledge of business and operational best practices and methodologies and relevant legislation.
- Knowledge of current recruitment best practices, trends, tools, and technologies.
- Expertise in building robust talent pipelines using diverse channels such as social media, job boards, networking, and partnerships with external organizations.
- Ability to leverage data and analytics to optimize recruitment efforts.
- Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills, including reporting, presentations and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent time management and organization skills; ability to prioritize tasks and manage workloads effectively.
- Experience working independently, as well as within cross-functional teams, in a collaborative, professional environment.
- Experience working with UKG.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven leadership, coaching and team and individual development skills.
- Experience in a law firm or professional services firm an asset.
