This role is considered Hybrid, which means the employee will work 2-3 days onsite at a Company designated location and occasionally from home.

Position Summary

Industrial Light & Magic’s (ILM) Talent Acquisition (TA) team is responsible for hiring top-tier talent across creative disciplines, technology, production and support roles for its Vancouver studio.

The TA Intern role presents an opportunity for a current student from an accredited public, post-secondary school to work alongside ILM’s dynamic TA/Recruitment department. The TA Intern will focus on supporting the department in achieving their spring/summer initiatives which includes recruitment presence at this year’s Siggraph conference hosted in Vancouver, BC. The TA Intern will work closely with the TA Coordinator and will take direction from the TA Manager. The Recruitment team partners closely with the HR, Talent and Studio Talent Group (STG - Learning & Development) departments and aligns with their global Recruitment counterparts.

What You Need to Know

  • The TA Intern role is a paid 4 month placement from May to August 2025 with the possibility for extension (up to 8 months)
  • This role is considered Hybrid, which means you will work onsite at our Vancouver studio and occasionally from home
  • You will be required to work full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm
  • We do not provide assistance for relocation, housing, transportation, or work authorization for Internships
  • You must be a Canadian Citizen or hold Canadian Permanent Resident status and be residing in British Columbia
  • You must be enrolled in a public, post-secondary school and will return to your studies upon completion of your internship with ILM

What You’ll Do

  • Support TA event planning for Siggraph 2025
  • Support ILM swag creation/ordering with existing vendor/s
  • Shadow Recruiters in various stages of the recruitment process, as appropriate
  • Participate in recruitment events (career fairs, university presentations)
  • Maintain Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Support File Management/Process documentation organization
  • Perform related recruitment duties as required


What We’re Looking For

  • Studies in film, art, theatre, communications, HR, business or related field preferred
  • Interest in filmmaking and the entertainment industry
  • Previous experience in an administrative, support role will be an asset
  • Technologically savvy, with a working knowledge of Google Workspace preferred
  • Experience in an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) will be an asset
  • Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced, changing work environment
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to professionally handle confidential information
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to work both on-site and remotely (hybrid)

The pay rate for this role in Vancouver is C$25.00 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
