In this temporary 12-month contract you will bring your experience supporting full cycle recruitment, ideally in a high-volume industrial setting, to help us hire amazing new talent at Canfor’s operations across BC, Alberta and into the United States. Being comfortable with Applicant Tracking technologies and sourcing tools and possessing an HR or Business degree will help you stand out on the candidate list. You are passionate about recruiting and will bring that passion to this fun, challenging and very rewarding role.

A day in the life of a Talent Acquisition Coordinator will include:

  1. Recruitment Support
    - Assist Talent Acquisition Specialists in sourcing and screening candidates and coordinating interviews for various roles, including operations, mill management, forestry, engineering, and corporate positions.
    - Post job openings on Canfor’s careers page, LinkedIn, Indeed, job boards, and social media platforms.
    - Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) with candidate information.
    - Coordinate pre-employment processes such as background checks, reference checks, and drug screenings.
    - Lead recruitment activities for coop students and other mass hiring events.
  2. Employer Branding & Recruitment Events
    - Support recruitment marketing efforts by sharing Canfor’s story on social media and job platforms.
    - Assist with organizing and attending career fairs, university partnerships, and community hiring events.
    - Manage and distribute recruitment materials and branded merchandise for hiring events.
  3. Administration & Reporting
    - Manage Canfor’s Employee Referral Program.
    - Maintain and update documentation such as offer letter templates, job descriptions and other templates.
    - Support with the generation of reports and insights to improve recruitment processes.

The salary range for this position is: $53,500.00-$67,000.00
