Job description

Athabasca University is currently recruiting to a Talent Acquisition Associate.

Reporting to the Lead, Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Associate manages and supports hiring and full-cycle recruitment for all university clients.

The Talent Acquisition Associate will participate in and support the Lead, Talent Acquisition in the design and implementation of effective and efficient hiring processes, refining and implementing online recruitment tools, building knowledge and capacity of leaders, and ensuring that diversity, equity, and inclusion are integrated into all related practices and activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will have a four-year undergraduate degree in Human Resources. A completed Registered Professional Recruiter certification would be an asset. Minimum 3 years of in-depth experience in recruitment, hiring, employee relations, and other human resources functions within a complex organization with multiple client groups. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in a unionized environment is strongly desired.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with demonstrated written, verbal, and presentation skills considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS and information technology as well as a strong functionality of Microsoft Office Suite and database computer programs is preferred.
