The Opportunity
The Systems Integrator III is responsible for programming and commissioning control systems that bring together multiple sub-systems to meet the operational and regulatory needs of the owner.
The Systems Integrator III will be able to develop and implement logic for assigned project tasks. Requirements including client and contractor coordination, logic development & testing, are all day-to-day responsibilities. The Systems Integrator III will ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget. The Systems Integrator III will be coached/mentored by more experienced staff and reports to a Technical Manager or Engineering Supervisor in the department.
What You'll Do
- Engage with clients in the Renewable Energy industry
- PLC/HMI/SCADA program development and testing
- Creation of technical documentation (control logic, test procedures, user manuals, etc.)
- PLC programming with one or more of the following platforms:
- Allen Bradley
- Schneider
- SEL RTAC
- HMI/SCADA programming with one or more of the following platforms:
- Ignition
- Wonderware
- Kepware/Topserver
- On-site commissioning and start-up
- Take ownership of personal and project quality
- Maintains positive client relationships, responsive both internally and externally, in-frequent client interaction
- Responsible for completing tasks in allotted time
What We Expect from You
- Two year technical degree
- 4-7 years years Industrial Control System, Integration of Robotics Systems, or programming experience in a related field
- Renewable energy industry exposure – Wind, PV, BESS
- Demonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, etc.) and internet network architectures
- Effectively uses common, discipline-specific software and helps others use it as well
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines by setting priorities
- Demonstrates excellent verbal/written communication, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management and clients
- Gains knowledge by attending technical training sessions or conferences and shares knowledge through technical reports or presenting interesting, relevant topics to the team
- Able to read and create engineering design drawings, including communication diagrams, logic diagrams, and network schematics
- Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SQL, Access)
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills
- Willing to travel 25-35% of the time
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must possess a valid Canadian Driver’s License and ability to meet company driving standards
- Must have the ability to travel across the United States and Canada
