We are currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to assume the position of Systems Analyst - Asset Management & GIS with the Corporate Services Department.
Reporting to the Manager, Asset Management & GIS, the System Analyst provides complex project and technical support for the City's Enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) and Asset Management technology infrastructure. Spatial data support responsibilities include developing and maintaining the GIS databases, GIS application initiative(s), mapping website(s), and integration of spatial data across all facets of the City. This position works closely with the Geomatics Officer and Asset Management Coordinator to provide a high caliber of customer service.
The incumbent must have a University degree or technology diploma in a relevant discipline (i.e., geography, GIS, environmental science, software or geomatics engineering) as well as a minimum of 5 years' previous experience in Enterprise Asset Management and GIS software systems and applications. Experience in enterprise systems project management is also required. The incumbent must have an advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL database design, and Enterprise EAM and GIS Architecture.
The City of Yellowknife offers a starting salary of $113,135 and a comprehensive benefits package, including a monthly housing allowance, a defined benefit pension plan, and relocation assistance.
