We currently have an opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join our team in the Winnipeg or Steinbach branch. As a Systems Administrator, you will provide technical support for various systems, managing system issues, liaising with the system vendors, and providing assistance and support to internal users.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Maintain systems by regularly updating information such as staff access levels, password resets, lending limits, interest rates, service fees and additions/modifications of products, collaborating with vendors as needed
- Liaise with the applicable vendors to address outstanding system issues and participate in the resolution process, performing or leading testing of necessary updates to the systems as required
- Update and maintain reports for tracking and record-keeping, submitting to appropriate staff member or committee as needed
- Create, update and maintain forms and reports within all databases, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at all times
- Create and review various reports related to activity or data within the systems to ensure accuracy and consistency of data and/or records; distribute exception reporting as required
- Maintain working knowledge of all systems (test and production databases) supporting compatibility and sharing of information with systems as needed and related
- Maintain an accurate record of costs associated to system upgrades, enhancements &/or fixes
- Lead and coordinate updates in partnership with Steering Committees, as needed.
- Assist with various corporate initiatives and projects by providing technical and/or administrative support maintaining a general understanding of and adhere to Project Management &/or Process improvement practices and methodologies
- Review communication related to enhancements or changes to the systems and disseminate information to SCU staff and management , providing technical support when necessary
- Respond to inquiries from staff or system support queue and resolve questions and concerns wherever possible, referring more complex issues to the Manager.
- Provide administrative support including, but not limited to document preparation, communication memos, preparation of presentations, and maintenance/monitoring of records and project plans
- Organize, schedule and prioritize meetings related to project initiatives; creating agendas and recording minutes as required
- Identify and recommend ideas/solutions to assist with the efficient and effective delivery project/process initiatives
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 Diploma plus one year of formal education or equivalent specializing in computer science, plus 4 to 6 years of job related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated experience working with technologies/systems
- Ability to keep current with rapid changes in the information technology environment
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, probe, analyze, and problem-solve complex issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of programming logic
- Able to promptly answer support related email, phone calls, and other electronic communications
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized
- Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
