Our Netskrt IT and Infrastructure team is looking for a Systems Administrator to join our team. The Systems Administrator is responsible for overall systems administration, management, monitoring and troubleshooting, along with research and implementation of new tools, systems and services, ensuring that the appropriate standards and frameworks for our systems operations are implemented and adhered to. This hybrid position is located in our beautiful office in downtown Vancouver.
Netskrt's eCDN managed service is comprised of three major components: intelligent content collection, staging and distribution; adaptive networking, leveraging connectivity as and when available; and an edge cache that allows users to access the content they want locally, using the apps and subscriptions that they already have.
We are a highly motivated team, dedicated to delivering products and services that improve the customer experience when accessing internet video at the edges of the network. We are developing a set of inter-related technologies targeting businesses that offer WiFi to their customers, but which have limited bandwidth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in the end-to-end process of evaluation, proposal, implementation and maintenance of our systems infrastructure, including hardware, software, processes and standards as appropriate, to support our corporate, development and production environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, project teams, architects, and administrators, providing recommendations of processes, tools and systems in support of our enterprise systems and platforms.
- Lead the research, planning, design, evaluation, implementation, troubleshooting and operation of the Company's systems, and related areas in accordance with enterprise standards and best practices.
- Monitor and review logs and critical alerts to ensure system issues are identified, escalated and addressed promptly.
- Participate in the development and implementation of safeguards and mitigation strategies to ensure reliable delivery of critical business services.
- Manage and administer incident, problem, and service request tickets.
- Research and advise on new technology, process and standard implementations.
Required Qualifications, Skills, Experience:
- Intermediate to senior level technical expertise in the overall systems deployment, operation, monitoring, security and maintenance of enterprise level production and development environments.
- Excellent knowledge and significant experience in production Linux and Windows environments.
- Expert knowledge of Mac OS, Mac laptop deployment, orchestration, and management. Experience in equivalent Windows environment.
- Experienced with open-source technologies, virtualization and cloud services, including containerization computing platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Solid working experience in Google Workspace configuration, administration and management (Gmail, Docs, Meet).
- Experienced with integration of Active Directory and Identity Management Systems (FreeIPA).
- Experienced with patch management cycle.
- Effective communication regarding system operations and environment changes.
- Demonstrable ability to adapt to change and to work well under pressure; able to multitask and manage numerous projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with caching and CDN (content delivery network) technologies (Netflix, Amazon, Google, Limelight, Akamai, Fastly).
- Experienced with various hardware systems (Dell, Lenovo, etc.).
