ARC Business Solutions Inc. is currently seeking an individual with experience in Systems, Server and Network Administration for immediate opportunities in the Edmonton, Alberta area.
ROLE: SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
The successful candidates must possess the ability to perform the following functions:
Required Skills:
- Minimum 3 years Infrastructure setup, configuration and support experience
- Experience in ticketing systems and managing service Level Agreements
- Experience in managing SonicWall, Fortinet and/or Ubiquiti environments
- Assist end users in resolving their day-to-day hardware, software and network issues.
- Provide remote and onsite support to resolve system outages, application issues, and hardware failures.
- Provide one-on-one end-user support and problem resolution via telephone, e-mail, and other required vehicles of communication
- Ability to research solutions, and recognize deeper
- Installation, configuration and management of network equipment including routers, switches and firewalls.
- Setup and management of MS Windows Server including 2019 and higher environments
- Knowledgeable in VLANs, subnets and network traffic optimization
- Installation, configuration and management of storage technologies including SAN and Host connectivity
- Collaborate on the design, deployment, and management of hybrid environments that integrate on-premises and cloud infrastructure
- Firmware and driver upgrades of multiple devices
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of virtual environments such as Hyper-V, VMWare
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist in remediation
- Backup technologies for Virtualized environments Installation and Configuration of Replication Software, such as VEEAM
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory in Server 2019 and higher environments
- Hands-on experience with Azure AD and identity management best practices.
- Use of infrastructure and network monitoring tools such as DattoRMM
- Strong Vendor management skills
- Excellent client-facing communication skills
- Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Administration of MFA (Microsoft Authenticator, DUO)
- Accurately and thoroughly document configurations and tickets, including resolutions into the ticketing system, and maintain up-to-date and rigorous maintenance of this process
- Provide basic training to clients to teach basic IT skills to minimize duplication of tickets
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism, courteousness, and friendliness.
- Public speaking and presentation skills would be considered an asset
- Must have a vehicle
Additional Desired Skills:
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
- Familiarity with security protocols or heavily secured environments is desirable
Degree designations (e.g., Bachelor of Science, Computing Science, MBA) and/or vendor technical certifications are desirable criteria for our selection.
Some travel within the home geography or remote sites will be necessary at both the start and occasionally be necessary.
