System Student Achievement Lead

School Effectiveness K-12

Term Position: September 1, 2025 for up to 3 years (June 30, 2028) Subject to annual budget approval and/or annual system organization and Ministry funding continuance.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Superintendent of Education, the System Student Achievement Lead: School Effectiveness K-12 will plan, coordinate, and implement the goals identified in the Board Improvement Plan for Student Achievement (BIPSA). The System Student Achievement Lead: School Effectiveness K-12 will coordinate and facilitate system District Support and assist with the implementation and monitoring of Ministry Student Achievement Division initiatives, including literacy and numeracy strategies and the new de-streaming programming. The System Student Achievement Lead: School Effectiveness K-12 will work with the System Staff to provide professional development for educators, and administrators in the components of the School Effectiveness Framework.

Qualifications

In order to be considered, you must hold the Qualifications noted at the time of application.

Basic: Qualification in three (3) Divisions

Additional: Mathematics Qualification and/or Reading Qualifications (specialist preferred)

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years teaching experience; experience as a system teacher or program consultant preferred.

Other: - Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead Ministry Student Achievement initiatives; - Demonstrated ability to facilitate collaborative professional learning sessions; - Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and organizational skills; - Demonstrated ability to incorporate technology into teaching/learning practices and activities; - Demonstrated understanding of school self-assessment and the School Effectiveness Framework; and - Strong understanding of Ministry Student Achievement, Board Multi-Year Strategic Plan.

Duties And Responsibilities

The System Student Achievement Lead: School Effectiveness K-12 will be a participating member of the District Student Achievement Team (DSAT) and support the implementation and monitoring of the system student achievement initiatives. The System Student Achievement Lead: School Effectiveness K-12 will coordinate and lead professional learning sessions for administrators and system support staff in the various components of the School Effectiveness Framework.
