The Systems Administrator at NCRi/CXAi is responsible for supervising the operation of a computer network of the organization and ensuring that servers function properly, allowing both employees and clients to communicate, coordinate actions needed, and manage essential tasks. This role requires a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. This position will require onsite presence with the opportunity to work at home occasionally. We are looking to fill this position immediately.
Core Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
- Manage and configure Cisco UCS servers and other server platforms.
- Manage and configure VMware vSphere, VCenter, VSAN platforms.
- Manage and configure Microsoft Windows Server 2016, Windows DNS / BIND / Named / Active Directory / Group Policies / LDAP / RADIUS.
- Manage and configure Linux Server and Desktop platforms.
- Manage and configure Storage platforms.
- Manage and configure Office 365 and other cloud-based technologies.
- Respond quickly to security or usability concerns.
- Anticipate potential problems and take action to solve them before they impact users when possible.
- Test new software, review application logs, and monitor infrastructure management platforms.
- Design, document, plan, and execute systems upgrades, patches, etc. as required.
- Ensure continuous delivery of services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of systems performance.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in a computer science-related course, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2-4 years of working experience as a system administrator.
- Solid understanding and working knowledge of the complete systems development and deployment lifecycle and all facets of systems administration in a large-scale IT operations unit.
- Demonstrated working and configuration knowledge of Cisco UCS servers.
- Demonstrated working and configuration knowledge of VMware vSphere, VCenter, VSAN.
- Demonstrated working and configuration knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016, Windows 10/11.
- Demonstrated working and configuration knowledge of Windows DNS / BIND / Named / Active Directory / LDAP.
- Demonstrated working and configuration knowledge of Linux platforms.
- Demonstrated working and configuration knowledge of Office 365 and other cloud-based technologies.
- Demonstrated working and configuration knowledge of storage technologies.
- Knowledge of Zabbix and SolarWinds technologies is an asset.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis when troubleshooting potential system issues.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
